Tennis BC is a not-for-profit society that is funded by membership, sponsorship, government grants and programs.

Club and/or Individual Members are eligible to receive:
Tennis BC, in partnership with Sport BC insurance providers, offers a significantly reduced insurance premium to member clubs, facilities, and societies. Coverage and premiums are effective as of April 6, one year to date.
Tennis BC, in partnership with Tennis Canada, offers a membership registration and rankings system for juniors, adults, and seniors participating in Provincial and National tournaments.
Clubs receive a license from Tennis Canada to schedule tournaments and run sanctioned events. By hosting sanctioned tournaments, member clubs have the opportunity to benefit from additional revenue and raise the club’s profile in their local community, which in turn, may attract new members and provides an added service to current members.
Member clubs can choose to benefit from exposure on our website or our social media platforms by sharing club information, programs offered, upcoming sanctioned tournaments, special events, and ways to get involved at your respective club.

Tennis BC coordinates and publishes an annual calendar of sanctioned and non-sanctioned tennis tournaments for players of all ages and abilities, including the National Bank Stanley Park Open, NTRP & Open Adult Tournaments, ITF Seniors Events, junior 2 and 3-star tournaments , junior Selection Series and Provincial Championships, Rogers First Set Tour – Rising Stars (U9 and U10 competitive players), Rogers First Set Tour – Rookie (Beginner competitors from U8-U18), Girl Set Match, and all other family and team events.
Tennis BC supports more than 3,000 league players throughout BC, hosts a Provincial Men’s and Ladies Team Championship, and a year-end Celebration Event.
Tennis BC delivers Tennis Canada’s Coaching Certification courses and workshops starting with entry level Instructor, Club Professional 1 and Club Professional 2 courses. Workshops for professional development and recertification clinics keep our coaches’ and instructors’ knowledge up to date.
Member clubs can receive priority registration into certification courses to help build club coaching teams.

Tennis BC provides coaching education workshops for professional development and coaching recertification.
Tennis BC offers Tennis Canada’s officiating courses for those who wish to become certified Referees, Roving Umpires, Chair Umpires, and Line Umpires.
Monthly Tennis BC Insider sent to members includes upcoming events from Tennis Canada, Tennis BC, and member clubs, special offers from friends of Tennis BC, local stories, BC player highlights and results, coaching tips, and national/international updates.
Clubs wishing to promote a job vacancy can request to share a job/volunteer post on our website and/or social media outlets.

The Edward Siemens High Performance Bursary is presented annually in March by Tennis BC to assist high performance junior athletes in accessing program development opportunities such as those within the Tennis BC Team BC program. It is awarded to an individual or individuals who have participated in programs such as the Tennis BC high performance programs and have been selected or could be selected to represent BC as part of the Tennis BC Team BC Program.
